Terms of Service

Last updated July 28, 2026.

When'd It ("the service") is operated by Barney Boisvert. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

When'd It is a personal logging and reporting tool: it records timestamped entries with tags, notes, and locations, and lets you search and report on them. It's a small, personally-run project, not a commercial product, and is provided without any guaranteed level of availability or support.

Accounts

Accounts are created via Google sign-in. You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account, and for keeping the Google account it's linked to secure.

Acceptable use

The service may only be used for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to access another account's data, interfere with the service's operation, or use it in a way that places excessive load on it.

Your content

You own the entries, notes, and files you add to the service. You grant the operator only the license needed to store, process, and display that content back to you in order to provide the service. It won't be used for any other purpose.

Availability and warranty

The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. It may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time, including permanently. To the extent permitted by law, the operator isn't liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

Termination

An account may be suspended or terminated for violating these terms. You may stop using the service, or request deletion of your account and its data, at any time by emailing the address below.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
